The Best Wedding Band In The South West
Congratulations on finding the perfect band for your event. We’re wedding experts, music maestros and above all else, PARTY STARTERS! We’ve played together at hundreds of weddings, corporate events and parties, honing our craft so that we can bring you the ultimate live music experience!
We work in partnership with you to build the perfect setlist from our enormous 300+ song repertoire. What’s more, you’ll be dancing the night away under the glow of our industry-leading light show. Leave your event in our hands, and we guarantee your guests will be screaming for more.
We’re based in the South West of England, but perform all across the UK, Europe & the rest of the world! This means you can experience our explosive live show wherever you are.
We offer several optional add-ons to add a little something extra to your event.
Our acoustic sets are the perfect addition to an afternoon drinks reception, or a great way to maintain the atmosphere as background music during a meal! Available as a solo, duo or trio option, we always love playing an acoustic set, so please do let us know if you’d like to add this to your booking.
If you’re anything like us, you believe there’s nothing quite like live music! DJ sets are great of course but if you simply want to pack in as much live music as you can to your evening then we offer an extra 45 minute or one-hour live band set to pack out your evening as much as possible!
All of these options can be found in the enquiry section at the top of this page.
We know that creating an electric atmosphere requires an electric setlist. We also know that every event is different. That’s why we create a bespoke setlist for each event built around your musical preferences from our extensive repertoire of over 300 songs! So, what music do we play?
Our repertoire spans seven decades and a vast array of genres, guaranteeing the dance floor will be filled all night long.

Most frequent questions and answers
Our price varies depending on location and date, but starts from £1050. Contact us for an accurate quote to get your show on the road!
We usually allow 60-90 minutes for set up and soundcheck, depending on room access and load-in.
Our standard terms are a 20% deposit to book the band. This booking fee is fully refundable for 14 days, after which it becomes non-refundable. The remainder of the balance is strictly due 14 days before the event.
If you want to spread payments into monthly instalments in the run-up to your event, that’s fine with us! Just let us know when you enquire.
Payment can be made by bank transfer or PayPal.
We create a unique set list for every event we play based on your preferences. You can browse our repertoire and tell us the artists you love, as well as the songs you’re not so keen on. We will always honour a veto list, so make sure you let us know the music you don’t want to hear. We’ll combine our experience with your musical preferences to put together a setlist that’s guaranteed to keep the dance floor packed all night long.
We pride ourselves on being able to read a crowd. If certain songs are going down well, we can adjust the setlist on the night and keep the party pumping!
Furthermore, we’ll learn your first dance and another request as standard, provided it’s both suitable for the band (most are) and subject to 30 days notice.
If you have any songs you’d love to hear that don’t fit into the set, we can always add them to the free DJ service to satisfy your dancing shoes!
At Pop The Top we’re entirely self-contained. We bring a pro-level audio setup, as well as our crowning jewels – a full, tour-grade light show. If you have more than 250 people attending your event, please let us know as we’ll have to expand our PA to ensure everyone’s able to rock out and amend your quote accordingly.
Our standard attire is smart casual, but we’re more than happy to accommodate whatever the dress code is for your event.
We love a good jam, but we do have a few ground rules for people who wish to come into the band area and play with us. It’s just common sense stuff that has evolved over the last few years. As long as you are happy to agree to these, we’re good to go!
You get 2 hours of live music as part of your standard booking, split up into two or more sets. Most events are 2×60 mins or 3×40 mins, but it is totally up to you!
We also offer an extra 1 hour set as an optional add-on as well as acoustic options so please let us know if you’re interested in this.
We love playing in this band and will always endeavour to keep the band members the same as what you see here. If for some reason one of us can’t make it, that member will be replaced with one of our highly skilled deputies and we will still honour the booking.
Everywhere! Pop The Top are based in the South West UK, but are available throughout the country, Europe, and the rest of the world.
Not a problem! While sound limiters aren’t the ideal scenario for live music, we’ve got extensive experience working with them. We do ask that you let us know beforehand if your venue has got a limiter, so that we can plan ahead and bring gear suitable (such as an electric drum kit) for the night.
Of course! We love playing first dances and will learn and perform yours at no extra cost. Our only requests are that the song is suitable for the band to play and we are given at least 30 days notice.
We offer a 10% discount for events organised by registered charities. Just let us know your charity number when you enquire and we will apply the discount to your booking.
We ask for a minimum of two standard 13A sockets. The only other requirement is that the power is a 230V UK supply. Generators are fine, provided that there is a designated circuit for the band that is not shared with other equipment such as cookers, fridges, or lights. The generator needs to have enough juice to supply us with at least 8 kW of power.
Of course! We’re more than happy to send them over to you and your venue coordinator in the run-up to your event.
Absolutely! Our DJ service is free as part of your booking. You can bring your own iPod/phone/mp3 player with a specific playlist, or leave it up to us! Either way, we’ll manage the playlist on the night.
Yes! When you book with us we’ll send over a contract with our booking T&Cs for you to e-sign. This covers both you and us so make sure to give the T&Cs a read before signing and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
We just need a meal each (we’re happy to eat from the evening buffet), water and at least two parking spaces.
If you need more info or have a question please do get in touch!
